Aquasol
Water Soluble Paper & Tape
Water-soluble paper and tape for constructing low-permeability purge dams close to the TIG pipe-weld zone.

Aquasol Water Soluble Paper and Tape can be shaped into a purge dam that retains argon or helium near the TIG weld zone. Placing the barrier close to the joint reduces the volume that must be purged and can lower inert-gas consumption compared with remote purge barriers.
The paper is made from sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and wood pulp. After welding, it dissolves in water, steam, or a suitable aqueous solution and is designed to leave no residue in the pipeline. Select the paper grade, sheet or roll format, and tape width around the pipe diameter, required gas retention, installation method, hydro-test process, and project specification. It does not dissolve in oil, fuel, or common solvents.
